CompX Native Staking

CompX supports several types of native staking options. Staking is an important component of the Defi landscape. It rewards users for holding or locking up their tokens and are an important part of the tokenomics underlying many projects. The CompX staking page displays the current staking opportunities that are available on the site in a tiled format, with one tile for each pool.
Time Locked Staking Pools - These pools have quite a long time component. Your total staking weight in the pool is determined by both how large your stake is, combined with how long you have agreed to lock in the token. For these pools, rather than set short terms and reinvesting, it will likely be more lucrative to simply select the maximum staking time in order to get the maximum yield from the contract. When looking at the CompX staking page, the time locked staking pools are denoted by the following icon in the top right corner of the individual pool GUI elements.
Injected Liquidity Staking Pools - The injected liquidity pools (ILP) are a novel staking strategy at CompX. The contract supports the adding of rewards at any time, which can then be periodically released to users that have deposited funds into the contract. This type of contract is very flexible for the administrator and the user. In contrast with other staking methods where rewards are placed into the contract and released until the contract is empty, rewards can be injected into the ILP at any time, extending its usefulness indefinitely. Additionally, for users, since there is no lock up period, funds can be flexibly removed at any point when staking is no longer desired. Many of the ILP's that are listed on CompX are pools that are used in the CompX xUSD interest sharing program to incentivize desirable actions on the part of the user, whether providing liquidity, or assisting in stablecoin arbitrage. The first ILP on CompX was the xUSD staking pool. More details about this pool can be read here. ILPs are denoted by the following icon in the top right corner of the individual pool GUI element.
Algo Staking - On CompX, Algo can be staked to allow for the minting of cAlgo. cAlgo is a liquid staking token that tracks a users stake by modifying the tokens value at the time of minting to represent the users overall stake of underlying Algo in the contract. This can be learned about in more detail here. On the staking Page, the Algo staking are denoted by the following icon in the top right corner of the individual pool GUI element.
